On Friday my sister and best friend (who is also, awkwardly enough, my brother's new girlfriend) came up for a visit! My sister, Emily, and I stayed up until, she assures me, about 12:30 that night, and my friend, Michelle, and my brother stayed up the following night until about an hour later. So now it's Sunday, at 4:30, and all I want is to go to sleep. Which naturally means that I need to get loaded with sugar and watch as many movies as possible until I pass out. It's just what I do.
But it was a good time! My brother hates it whenever I hang out with Michelle, when she's over, but he's just going to have to un-obsess a little bit and chillax some. But other than that it was a good weekend. I almost fell asleep during church today though.. That would have been not-so-great.
Speaking of not-so-great things happening in church- my youth leader led church today, and the first song they did was Trading My Sorrows, which is traditionally a camp song. So I was singing along for the first little bit, loving it because it reminded me of camp. Then I remembered about this summer at camp, and circumstances that occurred there making this year REALLY sucky. And also making me be sent home. But anyway, I fear that because of the not-so-great things that happened this year will permanently cloud my previous excitement for camp songs, or even camp memories. I guess I just really have to focus on God and ask him to help me forgive. Cuz it's not the easiest thing to do right now.
Anyway, I made cookies on Friday! Christmas cookies! Ginger Snaps. They're my favourite.
First, you've got the main, vital ingredients for all Christmas cookies.
You've got the eggs and oil.
Don't forget about the other main Christmas cookie ingredient- Molasses!
Whip it all together..
Combine wet and dry ingredients..
Roll them in balls, which you then roll into sugar.
And presto! Only the most amazing and delicious cookie EVER!! They smelled SOOO good. Almost smelled better than they taste. And they taste fabulous. So.. yeah. They're awesome :)
What should I do next? What's a super yummy, painfully easy Christmas cookie recipe that doesn't involve refrigeration? Let me know!
