New York, New York

Something really exciting is about to happen to me. In exactly one week and three days (and counting), I will be off to the craziest city in the world. New York City, New York.
I have never been this excited about anything in my entire life. It's honestly an overwhelming feeling. I have never left my province (10 minutes in BC doesn't count), let alone Canada, and now, in one big blow, I'll be lifted from my little hamlet and plopped in New York!
I'm going with a school group (post-secondary) from my town, and we're going to be there for about two weeks (I'm going to be gone for two weeks, but we'll be spending some of that time in Toronto). There are so many possibilities, so many things to see and do, that even just the thought of seeing and doing all those things are making me a little exhausted. Knowing that I will soon be there, and actually doing all those things, is an unbelievable thought. Literally- it feels like I'm talking about someone else's life. The realization has dawned itself on me over and over that I'm back to the beginning, in not realizing it's me actually going to NY.
So I thought I would give you a heads up! It's basically all I can think about, and will continue to be all I can think about, until we leave. I will have internet access at times, so I might post an entry once in a while, unless I'm just too darn busy!
But wish me luck! I just pray that I'll still be able to focus on actually getting some school done, along with all my mock packing and preparation and such. I'll let you know how it goes!
