Please
Don’t Throw Me Away
I
used to be “art”
...
Expressive, Experimental
Not
expensive
Made
in this world
For this world
1)
To inspire
2)
To Enlighten
But
suddenly... I was “a grade”
1)
Flawed
2)
Unworthy
Unwanted
Rejected
Entitlement
and Pride threw me away
I
was TOO late
I
wasn’t creative ENOUGH
I
didn’t have “ENOUGH” sketches
I CLEARLY MEAN
NOTHING IF SOMEONE WON’T BUY ME
Just
because you don’t like me
Just
because YOU don’t like me
Just
BECAUSE you don’t like me
Just
because you don’t like ME
Get
over yourself
GET
OVER YOURSELF
Don’t
understand me
Don’t
enjoy me
Don’t
talk to me or look at me or acknowledge my present
Just
please don’t throw me away
I've been lazy and neglectful. Hopefully this new step in my life will inspire, encourage, and motivate me to document, write, and paint.
This first entry was inspired by recent events, where an ex-instructor of mine threw away a piece of my art because they deemed it worthless.
