Happy Easter!

Hello friends! Or more specifically Caleb, who's been bugging me to update my blog.

I have a lot to say and post, most of which have to do with my art, and I just put all the pictures from my phone onto the computer, and realized that I don't have any of the finished products on my phone. So that will come at a later date. In the meantime, I will do what I can, starting with my favorite past time: my hair!

So a few weeks ago I had decided that I was sick and tired of my dark reddish/purple hair colour, and I wanted a change. A very big change. So I dyed it blue! With pink on the under layer of my bangs.

Had to bleach it first, and grabbed a quick picture for nostalgic's sake. Miss being blonde sometimes.

And boom! Instant awesomeness.

And then something sad and unfortunate happened. A few days after I coloured my hair school was coming to a close, and I had to go apply for work. And people were really, really against me having coloured hair. Blue hair, specifically. They were just really against it, and I didn't go over well with people and their businesses. So a couple days ago I had to do something really tragic. Even more tragic than dying away the blue. I had to conform to society's ways...

So I cut my hair, and then I dyed it again. Brown. BUT I kept the pink underneath, which you can slightly tell with the picture on the right. But I cut away the big chunk of hair hanging on the right, and soon, with a little more time, when my hair has grown a little bit more, and after I actually get a job, I'm going to get it professionally done, and get a proper sort of pixie cut. That way it will all be one length (which it's really not right now), and then I can figure out what to do with it then.

In the meantime... it's still brown. Sigh.

BUT on the plus side, I'm one step closer to the job I wanted. Going to work for the owner of a super sweet giftshop downtown for two days next week, and then she's going to see how awesome I am, and hire me full time. That's the plan anyways... And I'm pretty sure it's because I look like a 'normal' human being now. Made it worth it, at least.

Right now I'm all done school, waiting for someone from one of the places I applied to phone me back and tell me they're going to hire me. At my parents' place right now for Easter with my folks, brother, sister, bro-in-law, and my little niece. Have a great long weekend!
