Good news! My sister has officially made it to Muskat, Oman. She is now in the wonderful hands of her loving husband, and she can finally start her life again. Get settled, and get ready for her beautiful little girl to be born. I know I'm going to miss her, but she was right: I'm going to be so busy and preoccupied with setting up my new place and starting school that I'm not going to have time to miss her. There will be times where I'll wish I had my sister here so I could talk to her, but times like that we'll skype. We can figure it out. Right now I'm just very happy that she's there with Brad, and they were able to figure things out. Love you, sis <3

In the meantime I have some last minute things I have to get done. Beginning of this summer Caleb introduced me and a couple other friends to Dark Heresy. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it, but in case I haven't, it's a... I guess you could call it a spin off of Warhammer 40K. It's an RPG, but the only tangible thing are the dice and character sheets, which we have written everything we need to know for the game. Our names, for starters, plus it holds all the information about all the weapons we carry, the armor we have, and things like our Agility, Strength, Perception, Fellowship, etc. It's confusing if you know nothing about RPGs, but after one game I had most of it figured. And now, one week before I leave, I have almost all of the bonuses memorized. Only took a whole summer -.-

At any rate, we have I think three more get-togethers before I leave. Which means we need to finish our mission asap. It'll be tricky because all four of us (there's four players plus Caleb, who is the Game Master) are very loud and opinionated. So it's a bit difficult for decisions to be made. But we have Liam, who is our voice of reason, so after we've finished bickering, he's the one who makes the final decision. God bless is patient soul.
I have a couple more things to do before I leave. Finish packing, for starters. Beginning of the summer mom bought be five tubs to pack my stuff in (it's just a safer and more efficient way to move), and I also have countless boxes I could use. So far I have one box and two tubs packed, the other three started, and that's almost all I'm going to need. Granted, I have a lot of stuff that I'm taking with me that aren't in the tubs, but they're in their own version of boxes, so it'd be kinda silly to pack boxes into boxes. So I'm going to have five tubs. Maybe two boxes. Then just a bunch of other, contained... stuff. I need my stuff. Otherwise I feel empty. It's not like I feel that stuff makes me worth more or it makes me richer or anything. I just like the feeling of an eclectic living space. If the walls are bare and I don't have any personal touches anywhere, it's not my house. It's not my space. As soon as I get anywhere, I rearrange the furniture, and put my stuff out. It's necessary.

Along with finishing the packing, I also need to finish all the food that's in the fridge and freezer, because that's a pain and a half to pack. I FINALLY got my bike tire replaced today. We have a fellow in town whose hobby is collecting, fixing, and making bicycles. It's really quite neat. He's one of those people who you just want to take out for a beer and talk to him for hours. I've known him since I was a kid, and I used to baby-sit his two daughters (the oldest of which is now 16.... WTF), but it's only recently now where I've really begun to appreciate just how strange he is. Anyways, quite a few years ago I traded my old bike that was too small for me in for a new-ish one that he just finished restoring. In all honesty, the only reason I chose that bike was because it was a pretty teal, and I was obsessed with teal at the time. Turns out that not only did I pick a really good brand of bike (CCM), but it also came with a next to new front tire, and the rims were made in Holland. Which is, apparently, one of the best places to get any bike parts. I scored :) So I took my bike to Jay because he bought a new inner tube for me. One that wasn't completely popped. He replaced that, and then, since it was Jay, he spent another two hours fine-tuning it. Which I am very grateful for, don't get me wrong. I just think it's hilarious that men like him with hobbies like his obsess over the smallest things. But he re-alligned my tires, tightened and loosened spokes where he needed to, adjusted my brakes, tightened nuts and bolts and bearings, loosened my pedals, greased some gears... It makes me feel very awesome. Very safe. I love my little bike :) I'm thinking of naming it Cecelia. Is that silly?
Anyways. In just under two hours I'm getting together with a friend to watch the second Pirates (she's never seen them before. LE GASP) and do our nails and eat expensive ice cream. This is what you do with your best friend when you're moving. Get together EVERY night, drink booze, and eat junk food while doing boring yet awesome girly shhhhtuff. Peace out, homeslice.
