Okay. So let me just tell you guys. I don't do spiders. I don't. Not eensy weensy little black ones. Not Daddy Long Legs. Definitely not those mother truckers with the shells on their back, I don't care how good they are for the environment. Tonight I experienced a different kind of spider. One I've never seen before. I thank the Lord and everything He stands for that it wasn't one of those with a shell. I just can't deal with them. This spider was, however, very large. It was about the size of a Daddy. Long Legs don't usually freak me out. This one did, simply because it was that large and
wasn't a Daddy Long Leg. Long legs, black, body was small, but not teeny. It was, in a word, disgusting. And, fun fact, my roommate Stephanie is petrified of spiders. She almost stopped breathing when she found it ON HER BED. Luckily she wasn't actually in bed yet, she had just set them out in the living room to dry. Which, by the way, I'm NEVER DOING. But she saw it, freaked out, and I rushed in to save the day. However, as I just explained, I don't do spiders. I did tonight though. I found two flat hard lids and squished that mother. Rubbed the lids together for good measure. Suffice to say there was nothing left of that baby. Just little bits. She vaccuumed her bed thoroughly after the encounter. Right before I squished it, and in-between my prayers to Jesus that I don't miss and it freaks out and jumps on me, I told her that she owes me a coffee. Which she promptly agreed to. I think it's a fair trade. I would have asked Tyler, our other roommate, to squish it, but he was already in bed, and I would probably win the award for worst roommate if I woke our sick only male in the house to kill a spider. So I grew a pair of testes and BOOM. Then they shriveled up and became non-existent once again. Which is good, cuz that would be weird..
My room... is not finished. In fact, if mom was to look at it right now, she wouldn't know what has changed. But within the next two days I will get it together! It's a slow process. I spent most of the day grocery shopping with mom then hanging out with a friend of mine whom I haven't seen in quite some time. Then I went for a walk and explored. So that was neat. It took me, like, 20 minutes to walk what looked like a pretty far distance. And I was just strolling. And stopping a lot to try to figure out where I was or what I wanted to do. But anyways, that's no excuse. Tomorrow I'll be alone ALL DAY, so I will blast some Evanescence or something (yes, I'm still living in the 90s. Or is Evanescence an early 2000s thing?) and get everything done! And make some food and take some pictures. It'll be good! It just sucks not having money, so I can't just go strolling and find a Timmies somewhere and buy a coffee. Well I can... mom just got me a giftcard for Timmies, bless her heart, but I want to wait until school starts. I have a feeling a coffee break might become a social thing, and I don't want to waste it on a simple "I want to go do something" thing. But hey! If you wanna sponsor me and keep me in a good supply of entertainment.......
